The latest survey by the Harris Poll, regarding adults'
opinions of prestigious professions, has accountants ranked last.
The Harris Poll surveyed 1,000 adults, and the group held
accountants in the lowest regard out of a list of 17 professions.
The low ranking may result from the perception that accountants
work in an unglamorous profession. Doctors and scientists led
the survey, while lawyers fell the most from the previous survey.
The Harris Poll has conducted the survey since 1977.
