Offer Next-Gen Eldercare Benefits to Your Corporate Clients
National Underwriter (Life/Health) (01/15/01) Vol. 105, No. 3 p.12; Innes, Bruce
Corporations are paying closer attention to the issue of
eldercare benefits. The rise in response comes after years of modest
offerings. Until recently, most corporations offered either barebones
resource and referral programs or none at all. But emerging
next-generation eldercare benefit programs are offering a sliver of
hope. These programs provide both in-person and digital support to help
workers who have assumed the caretaking responsibilities for a loved
one. In-person support is provided through a network of screened and
credentialed geriatric care managers, and digital support features a
24-hour, year-round call center staffed with experts in aging, plus
Internet access to Web-based tools, information, and support.
