While online 401(k) services reduce many of the expenses
related to sponsoring a retirement plan, financial services companies
should be aware that personalized services and relationships are what
small and medium-sized companies are pursuing. Online investment advice
utilization remains low. Investors do not always seek advice, but they
are in dire need of education to better understand and use investment
tools and services that are available online, which is where providers
can begin building lasting relationships, this article says.
