My Favorite Stock
Mutual Funds (09/00) Vol. 6, No. 11 p.38; Schwartz, Nelson D.
Financial analyst Robert Kleinschmidt of the
Tocqueville fund says H&R Block is the stock to beat. Over the
last few months, Kleinschmidt has been gobbling up shares of the
tax preparer, which now represents about 2 percent of
Tocqueville's fund assets and is on point to reach the 4 percent
mark. He justifies his selection by noting H&R Block's
impressive P/E of 12.5 times fiscal year 2000 earnings.
Kleinschmidt also cites H&R Block's good earnings growth and
market dominance as other traits that have earned his favor.
